Your Beliefs Can Set You Free!

Sadly, it's too easy to think that we need to prove our value to the world when all along we have value just by being our true selves. We are value itself! In all of my years of healing and learning, the bottom line seems to be this: it's all about beliefs. What do you believe about yourself and about life itself? Are these beliefs true? Are they supporting you?
Most of our beleifs are ingrained in our minds during childhood but that doesn't mean that we are doomed forever! It means that we can be empowered to re-examine our beliefs and decide if they are supporting us in our life. I suggest to start from a place of wholeness rather than lack and you will see the beauty unfold. When you believe that you are whole and that you don't need "fixing" you will be well on your way to healthy transformation. On the other hand, if you believe that you are "broken" or lack something then you may have a more difficult time. I recently had someone who I very much respect say, "just show up in your wholeness". I loved that and I offer that same advice to you now. Wherever you are, show up in your wholeness. :)
Some common beliefs that we may need to re-examine:
"I have to push and work hard in order to succeed."
"I have to do everything for everyone in order to have value and be loved."
"My needs are selfish and are not worth being met."
"I'm not good enough." (Pretty enough, creative enough, smart enough, thin enough, strong enough........etc.)
"I don't deserve...."
and the list continues...
I'm here to tell you that it's not your fault that you may have some of these beliefs. We all have them from time to time! The empowerment comes from recognizing them! Then, it becomes our choice whether or not to listen to these beliefs and mind tricks.
I have struggled for so many years with dis-ease, fatigue, anxiety, low self-esteem, and codependent relationships until I was ready to look at my life honestly and be dedicated to healing. I understand that it's hard to look at our lives honestly and it takes determination but the benefits and freedom from distress is well worth it!!
If you are ready to start your transformation, take it one step at a time... or take a big leap if you wish! Trust that you will be supported. :~)
Below are a few steps that have helped me along my path of healing:
Meditation (start with 5 minutes a day)
Find the right support - it's out there! :)
Celebrate your willingness to see your truth! Woo hoo!
Gentleness with yourself and the process - very important
Open your mind and heart to receive abundance - this is a fun one!
Honesty - it's ok to take a look at your dark side too ;)
Healthy communication - imperative in your relationships
Mindful movement - yoga, dance, hiking, martial arts, etc.
Connection through song, nature, animals, spirituality, etc.
Whatever you do, stay true to your yourself!
